Envizage 750gb cyclone external hard drive multi media player

All i did was reformat with fat 32 tool on cd manual and check all video and audio connections. Did you disconnect the USB cable? Turn off the device. Disconnect the USB cable. Attach the AV cables to the TV. Turn on the device. This player needs a hard drive in order to work have you physically installed a hard drive? I don't see how he could have formatted with FAT32 if a drive wasn't installed!

Hello, I ran into a similar problem, and hope someone can help. When I hook up the player to my computer via usb, it shows all folders and all files in the folders about 20 folders. But when I connect the player to my TV, it does not show all folders, only 5. I have reformatted the player NTFS , and have transferred back all the files from my external HD, with the same results. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I had this solved. I used a software called format Hi there, I have a similar problem.

Thought it was because I was using a Mac but apparently not. Anyway, did you reformatted your drive then? Using the Cd that came with I was afraid of loosing everything. Anyway, just got a Sumvision Cyclone Media Player and connected to my mac computer.

It found the drive called as "New Volume". What should I do? So do I need to erase and reformat the drive or what? Desperate here. Thank you. Just editing my post here. I am trying to narrow down my choice. What is the difference from the first version? I may plump for this one if it plays the files I want. This version plays mkv files. HighlandeR Guest. Hi has anyone out there brought this? Boxchip F Click to expand Has anybody purchased this yet, as I am really tempted to purchase this.

Its 33 quid on the above link It would be very interesting too see if this box works, simply connecting a 2. The same company are selling it on ebay. I think I'll get one and see if it's any good, looks to be exactly the same as the Eaget X5 when comparing the UIs of both and their specs.

As they are on the lowest range of the media player spectrum it's unlikely we'll see anything significant via the firmware updates. Also used HD files, avi movie p, mp4 game demo p and mkv doc p with perfect results. The player is factory set to HDMI.

If you want to play your media files on a TV and are not bothered about an internal hard drive, why pay more than you need to. At this price it does what the expensive ones do and it's a steal. Has any one got one yet? Was just pondering since it doesnt quite state p mkv? Video Resolution: H. Price has increased also to 36 quid, on fleabay its 37 quid Just got mine in a few hours ago, I'm glad to report that it played every mkv p file I have; mostly h.

The Micro 2 does not output much heat, being only lukewarm to the touch after playing a movie. The drawbacks, as there will be quite a few with a p media player at this price range: - The menu system is a quite slow to respond when playing video files, though I don't know if running them off a Class 4 microSDHC has anything to do with it or if it's just maxed out.

Things such as fastforwarding become quite tricky to use, as you'll never know if the Micro 2 will comply with your first few presses on the remote. Luckily it has a "goto" function that allows you to skip through to the exact point that you wish. The subtitle support isn't very good, you get a small list of fonts and a choice of either white, red or blue in which to have them displayed.

I don't know how much better it is with more expensive media players, but I like subs to be in the style that they were designated as originally intended. For some of the more exotic subs karaoke for insert songs it picks up only the translation or the original lyrics. That's all I can think of so far that detracts from a great budget p player, I'll put it through more testing later.

TomPollard Standard Member. Hi thanks for the review can I asked you to test something out for me? Shindig Active Member. Worth a shot. Saves me splitting MKV. It does support NTFS partition. Last edited: Oct 22, I ran a wide range of xvid and divx files with mp4 visuals format and all but one of them played flawlessly on the Micro 2. The one that didn't seemed to desync a few times during the opening karaoke, with video slowdown and sound cutting out; this didn't show up on MPC-HC.

I tested some more from the same series, some of which were from different groups; they all exhibited the desync at the exact same points. Other things I've found: - The menu system while slow, it's not as bad as my Samsung tv's ui; isn't lagging when playing video files.

It just seems that the IR reciever is more finicky about pointing the remote towards it than other devices I've used recently.
