Viewed 24k times. Saturday, December 17, I am getting the following error when I try to set-up or run a task: Task Scheduler General page initialization failed. Tags:: Musings. This error happened to me when i hard-reset a password for an account.
I changed the password for the account that is running the task scheduler the normal way, logged off and then back in to run the task. The error still pops up.
